Our Story

Honouring the old is the newest thing you can do.

Túndùn; meaning sweet again or sweetness in Yorùbá, was born from simple conviction: that the most forward-thinking fashion honours where it comes from and enjoying the sweetness within. Every piece begins at the loom, in the hands of master weavers whose families have practised aso oke for generations.

From Iseyin to the world, we translate centuries of textile knowledge into garments that move with modern life. No compromise. No costume. Just living culture, worn with intention.

Heritage

Three royal weaves; Ètù, Sányán, Àlàárì; sourced direct from the looms of Iseyin and Ilorin. We don't reproduce; we elevate.

Craft

Hand-cut. Hand-finished. Lined, where it should be lined, in cupro and silk. Every seam carries a maker's signature, even when you can't see it.

Modernity

Yorùbá fabric, contemporary fit. Designed for the woman whose life and wardrobe both move forward.

What They're Saying

Voices from the TÚNDÙN world.

“

“I wore my Àlàárì set to my traditional engagement ceremony and couldn't stop receiving compliments. Every thread tells a story — that's what TÚNDÙN understands that no one else does.”

“

“The Sányán blazer arrived and it was immediately clear this was craftsmanship of a completely different order. Structured, incredibly refined, and made with obvious love for the material.”

“What struck me most was the depth of cultural knowledge woven into every piece. TÚNDÙN is not just a fashion brand — it's a living archive of Yorùbá textile heritage.”

“I commissioned a bespoke Ètù gown for my son's wedding and the entire process — from consultation to final fitting — was seamless and deeply personal. Worth every naira.”

Folake B.

London

“

“There is a quiet confidence to TÚNDÙN pieces. They do not need to shout. The weave, the cut, the weight — all speak for themselves. Exceptional.”

TE

Timini E.

Accra

“

“I've followed Nigerian fashion for years and what TÚNDÙN is doing with handwoven asooke is genuinely groundbreaking — luxury without apology, rooted in Iseyin tradition.”

Ètù

Ètù, meaning "guinea fowl" in Yorùbá, is a dark blue indigo fabric; usually with thin white or light blue stripes resembling the feathers of a guinea fowl.

The Wild Silk

Sányán

Sányán, often called the king of fabrics, is woven from the fibres of the local wild silk (Anaphe). It is characterised by its light brown, earthy tones and soft texture.
